The Systems Engineer position is onsite at our Greenville or Columbia South Carolina office. The position requires the ability to design, implement and maintain Microsoft Cloud technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, and associated infrastructure. Additionally, this position requires experience administering Windows Operating Systems and basic networking principles. This individual works to ensure all system technologies, practices and procedures adhere to organizational standards, values, policies, and strategic plan. The Systems Engineer collaborates with vendors and the Systems team to develop and implement new technology initiatives. The Systems Engineer must work independently, as well as part of the IT team, and must effectively interact with professional staff. The position requires in-state travel and flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Implement, administer and maintain Microsoft Cloud technologies, Microsoft Active Directory and associated infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, maintain and administer new and existing servers, storage and backups
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to IT management
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and document system emergencies
• Capacity planning and disaster recovery, procedural planning and testing
• Product review, evaluation, testing and implementation
• Support, mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members
• Develop, implement and document technical processes and procedures

Must be Technically Proficient in the Following Areas:

• Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access Policies & Enterprise Applications
• Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy
• Microsoft DNS, DHCP & Enterprise Certificate Authority
• Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, & Office 365
• Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, Application Gateway, & Privileged Identity Management
• Microsoft Purview Mail Filtering technologies, Mobile Device Management (MobileIron)
• PowerShell Scripting
• VMWare administration
• Building, deploying and supporting Windows based servers, including server security hardening and patch management
• 3rd Party Vendor Management

Other Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Microsoft, VMware and/or Security certifications preferred
